Pastor John David Reno loved God’s people—every one of us, all the time. He was always smiling, offering encouragement, and using his musical talents to help us feel God’s love. Johnny was passionate about evangelism and loved teaching others how to share the Gospel. He enjoyed leading worship and mentoring others in worship leadership. Johnny's influence can be seen and heard in the voice, tone, mannerisms, and growth of many worship leaders who had the privilege to study under him. Through his skills and talents, Pastor John Reno touched countless lives.
Although Pastor John Reno has joined Jesus in heaven, we want to honor his legacy and ensure it continues here on earth. To this end, a scholarship has been established in his name, administered by U-Turn for Christ Ministries. This scholarship will help men and women attend Bible college, enhancing their skills, talents, and relationships with the Lord in preparation for service in His name.
Johnny’s family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the "Pastor John David Reno Memorial Bible College Scholarship" fund.
